work on both strength and conditioning to improve your health
Every workout needs two separate
parts in order to be truly effective: strength training and
cardio-vascular exercise. While it’s very easy to look at strength
and conditioning and just focus on one and not the other it is
important to do both in order to meet your goals. Doing both will
make your exercise routine that much more effective. Strength and
conditioning exercises done together will help realize your goals
far more quickly
Unfortunately, there are a lot of
people who focus on only one type of exercise and don’t take into
account the fact that strength and conditioning exercises should
be done together. If you only do conditioning or cardio exercises
in order to lose weight for example, then you are missing out
because strength training can definitely give you a boost toward
your goals. Muscle tissue burns more calories than any other
type of body tissue. By doing strength exercise such as weight
training you will increase your muscle tissue and this in turn
will help you burn more calories and help you lose weight faster.
Both strength and conditioning
are important if your focus is weight training, because ignoring
cardio exercises will make weight lifting harder for you. Cardio
or conditioning exercises are more effective for the health of
your heart than weight lifting exercises on their own. Even just
doing 20 minutes of cardio every other day can strengthen your
heart and improve the circulation in your body – more oxygen to
the muscles means easier and more effective weight lifting.
